“The Last 5 Years” Production Team


ANNE PUZEY (Music Director) “The Last 5 Years” welcomes Anne to its production team as Music Director. She is also a part of the vocal coaching team from Audition Advantage. Anne has been making artistic contributions to dozens of shows and a number of local theater companies. In addition to Utah Rep, she is a regular staff member with Hale Centre Theatre West Valley, The Egyptian in Park City, Silver Summit, and the Ziegfeld Theatre, among others. She conducts workshops for Utah Theatre Association and is currently to help establish a new actors’ organization to help all performers have a place to meet, grow their skills, and learn about all the new opportunities in Utah musical theater. Her skills are legendary, and Utah Rep welcomes future work together on our upcoming productions.

BLAIR HOWELL (Producer) Blair is a founding board member of Utah Rep and serves as the company’s marketing director and company manager. He began his career in the ink-and-print world of publishing, more years ago than he cares to remember. He has held the editorial titles of researcher, fact checker, writer, editor, department manager, managing editor, creative consultant, publishing director and vice president on staff of a list of diverse publications — from his hometown Whittier (Calif.) Daily News to Reader’s Digest; from an editorial assistant at a book publisher to developing a national, award-winning beauty/fitness/wellness magazine. He now manages an Internet endeavor, a website devoted to assisting students achieve success in postsecondary education, and has two freelance positions, writer and editor, for the Deseret News. He reviews local theater productions, and his application is pending with American Theatre Critics Association (until he finishes the paperwork.) He is slavishly devoted to musical theater and considers it a genuine treat to work with Utah Rep and each of the company’s associates. A Southern California native who lived in the another coastal state — in New Canaan, Conneticut, for 12 years — Blair is now a Utah resident, living in Salt Lake City’s the Avenues. His most prized productions are his two talented and endearing children, William Cooper and Brett, who not frequently enough stop by for a visit.


MANDI TITCOMB (Stage Manager)

NANCY SUSAN CANNON (Costume Designer) Nancy is an academic counselor in the TRiO Student Support Services department at UVU—her day job—and a Utah Rep board member. She has a B.A. in Dance from BYU and also an M.A. in Education from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Nancy’s passion is costume designing for film, stage, and performing groups. She had the opportunity to be costume manager at the Medals Plaza for the Salt Lake City 2002 Olympics. She brings over 16 years of experience in various wardrobe capacities, as a costume designer, wardrobe set, wardrobe supervisor, stitcher, and wardrobe consultant. As Utah Rep’s Resident Costume Designer, Nancy has previously costumed “Bare,” “Bonnie & Clyde,” “Grace,” “August: Osage County,” and “[title of show].” She is very excited to be a part of “The Last 5 Years.”

JOE JENKINS (Lighting Designer) “The Last 5 Years” is Joe’s third Utah Rep production, after “Bare” and “[title of show.]” He recently returned to Utah from the state of Washington where he worked as the resident lighting designer for the Love Street Playhouse in Woodland and the Columbia Theatre for the Performing Arts in Longview. Joe holds a BFA in theater from Utah State University and has been working in stage lighting and production for nearly 20 years. In addition to musicals, he has also been involved in plays, concerts, film and TV, and touring productions. After relocating to Utah, he has been involved with the electrics crew at Pioneer Theatre Company.

JAMES HANSEN (Sound Designer) James was Sound Designer for Utah Rep’s productions of “Bare,” “Rent,” “Bonnie & Clyde,” and “[title of show].” He is thrilled to be working with such an amazing cast. James has been involved in sound engineering for over 20 years. In addition to sound for live theater, he also deejays and does concerts, events, recording, and editing. Favorite past productions include “Sweeney Todd,” “Joseph…Dreamcoat” (twice!), and “Into the Woods.” He spends as much time as possible in New York, Orlando, and Anaheim.

ALEXANDER WEISMAN (Photographer) Alex is happy to continue to be part of the Utah Rep family. In addition to shooting for Utah Rep, he works as a freelance photographer and the staff photographer for Pioneer Theatre Company. His work has been seen in local galleries and publications as well as in national publications, including Business Week and Apparel magazine. He has worked with local Utah fashion designers as well as men’s clothing company, Ministry of Supply. Alex would like to thank his father for instilling a passion for photography and his wife for putting up with said passion!
